it's good to be back out in nature again. I miss
drawing trees. I love drawing trees. even if I don't draw them so well. I
still enjoy it. I also enjoy the challenge of a good forest scene.
trying to create depth and diversity among the plant life is difficult.
it's such an easy thing to ignore. when you go walking about in a forest
or any wooded area things aren't flat, plants are free to grow and
manipulate all the space around them. it's something i always have to
remind myself when drawing a set of scenes in a forest. it's so easy to
default to a flat stage environment for your characters to be surrounded
by, out of fear of them being obscured. I would say this time... I
kinda failed, but 'm getting better.
